Production and purchasing challenges
Most common purchasing and operational questions
- Is the raw material intended for dry pet food, a dried treat, a baked treat, or another format?
- What raw material form will be suitable for the process and production line?
- What documentary requirements apply in your plant?
- Is a sample needed for technological tests and recipe evaluation?
- What information must be included in the specification to approve the raw material for supplier qualification?
In RFQs for this industry, issues related to batch consistency, raw material compliance with recipe assumptions, and the possibility of conducting internal production trials also frequently arise. Lack of this information at the outset extends the purchasing process and makes it more difficult to compare offers.
To speed up handling of a B2B RFQ, it is worth indicating from the start the planned application, expected raw material form, documentary requirements, and project stage: tests, validation, or regular purchases.
